# IPSec (beta)

{% hint style="danger" %}
This feature is currently in beta.
{% endhint %}

You can connect to your Onomondo SIMs via IPSec connection(s) and thus add the devices to your Virtual Private Network (VPN). In its current form IPSec is set up under the Connectors umbrella, meaning that you have to actively manage which SIMs will be routed via the IPSec connection(s).

Some caveats and important information regarding the feature:

* Only support IKEv2 is supported.
* It is not possible to make passthrough rules for this Connector type.
* It is not recommended to use the OpenVPN setup alongside IPSec because traffic from the SIMs with the Connector configured will be routed through the IPSec tunnel including replies to the OpenVPN subnet—meaning that you can only send data to a device via the OpenVPN connection but all replies.
* The Onomondo SIM IP range for local endpoints is: `100.64.0.0/10`.
* You will need to provide remote endpoints on your side and include all of your SIMs.
* There are two local endpoints on Onomondo's side for redundancy. You will need to create two remote endpoints on your side to utilize both. One for each of the local endpoints.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://fugolungo.gitbook.io/fugolungo-docs/Sw9EnGkWPJZdpbTYFR6Q/integrations/ipsec-beta.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
